VX-9 operations department encompasses all aspects of the Vampire mission. The operations department personnel schedule and coordinate independent operational test of strike weapons systems including attack, fighter, rotary wing, and electronic warfare aircraft, conventional warfare equipment, and electronic warfare equipment. In addition, the China Lake operating area offers broad simulation of threat weapon systems, major electronic-warfare threat-simulation facilities, and a wide range of anti-air and anti-surfaced systems to test future systems.
